Some of our ensembles require auditions while others do not.  Please read through any of the following that may pertain to you.  If you would like to set up an audition for one of our groups, please check out the appropriate link below. 

 CHOIRS

  • Students are invited to audition for our choirs provided they are members of their schools' teacher-led choirs wherever they exist:  You should not be in an HRA choir if you are not in your school's existing teacher-led choir.  If your school does NOT have a teacher-led choir, then you may still audition for HRA. 
  • All of our choirs are auditioned for two reasons; one is due to limited physical space and the other is for voice placement.  Auditions for choirs happen mostly in June and tend to fill quickly.  To book an audition, please click the button above.







  

  STRINGS

  • String lessons do not require auditions.  The optimal time to start is in grade 4.
  • All of our orchestras are open (no auditions required).  ​
  • Our guitar, ukulele and fiddle classes also do not require auditions.

BANDS

​
  • All students are invited to join our HRA Band program provided they are members of their HRCE school bands.
  • Our Junior Concert, Intermediate Concert and Studio "B" Jazz Bands are open (no auditions required).  Our Cole Harbour High bands are also open without audition.
  • Our Symphonic Band and our Studio A Jazz Band are auditioned.  Click the button above for audition information.
